El Vaticano dijo el viernes que el Rev. Pierbattista Pizzaballa servir\u00eda como el cuidador temporal del\u00a0Patriarcado. Pizzaballa, un sacerdote franciscano, reemplazar\u00e1 a Fouad Twal, que lleg\u00f3 a la edad de jubilaci\u00f3n obligatoria de los 75. La iglesia no dijo cu\u00e1nto tiempo iba a ocupar en el cargo.<\/p>\n

Twal, que naci\u00f3 un beduino y m\u00e1s tarde se convirti\u00f3 al cristianismo, ha sido un opositor a\u00a0Israel.<\/p>\n
