En un discurso ante la Liga \u00c1rabe en El Cairo durante el fin de semana, el Jefe de la Autoridad Palestina, Mahmud Abbas, admiti\u00f3 que los palestinos incitan contra Israel, pero acus\u00f3 a Israel, falsamente, de hacer lo mismo.

\u00abLos israel\u00edes afirman que los palestinos incitan en los medios y en los libros de texto\u00bb dijo Abbas.<\/p>\n

Dijo adem\u00e1s que Israel y los palestinos acordaron en 1998 para el establecimiento de un comit\u00e9 tripartito con los EE.UU. para examinar la incitaci\u00f3n, al parecer procedentes de ambos lados. \u00abEstamos dispuestos a que los EE.UU. sirvan como juez en este asunto\u00bb, dijo.<\/p>\n

Dicho comit\u00e9 se form\u00f3 como parte del Memorando de Wye River en 1998, y se reuni\u00f3 cada dos meses hasta el estallido de la segunda Intifada en septiembre de 2000. El comit\u00e9 no ha estado activo durante casi 16 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

Israel ha estado contendiendo con una larga ola de ataques terroristas palestinos durante los \u00faltimos ocho meses. Israel dice que la principal fuerza impulsora detr\u00e1s de la ola de violencia es la incesante incitaci\u00f3n contra Israel por parte del liderazgo palestino, que ha causado la muerte de 33 v\u00edctimas y heridos m\u00e1s de 450.<\/p>\n
