Durante el a\u00f1o pasado, Israel ha sido confrontada con una ola de ataques terroristas, muchos provenientes de Judea y Samaria. Recientemente nos sentamos con la Capit\u00e1n Bar, la comandante m\u00e9dica de la Brigada Regional Etzion, quien reflexiono sobre sus ocho a\u00f1os como m\u00e9dico en las FDI, sus historias, pensamientos y memorias.

\n\u00bfC\u00f3mo ha sido tu rutina diaria en los \u00faltimos meses?<\/p>\n

De hecho no tenemos una rutina. Cuando nos llaman a la escena de un ataque terrorista, vamos inmediatamente. A\u00fan cuando es una situaci\u00f3n de emergencia civil, no perdemos la oportunidad de ayudar.<\/p>\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo te sientes sobre tu trabajo despu\u00e9s de los eventos recientes?<\/p>\n

Hab\u00eda semanas con un ataque diario. Cada ataque nos afecta. Nos rompe el coraz\u00f3n. No tenemos otra opci\u00f3n pero seguir luchando. Regresamos del incidente, lavamos la ambulancia, el equipo, todo\u2026 Nuestras mentes. Tenemos que tener la mente limpia, para as\u00ed estar preparados y hacer nuestro trabajo.<\/p>\n

Como m\u00e9dico, eres responsable de tratar a cualquier persona que lo necesite. Eso debe de ser dif\u00edcil ya que tiene que tambi\u00e9n tratar a los atacantes.<\/p>\n

La estructura de la vida en Judea y Samaria es irreal. Hay jud\u00edos, musulmanes, religiosos y no religiosos viviendo juntos. El sentimiento es muy cercano, como una familia. La situaci\u00f3n es dura para todos, no voy a mentir, tambi\u00e9n es dif\u00edcil para mi cuando me doy cuenta que estoy dando tratamiento m\u00e9dico y salvando la vida de un atacante, pero jure ayudar a todos, aliado o enemigo. Es nuestro trabajo y lo hacemos a medida de nuestras capacidades.<\/p>\n

\u00bfAlguna vez recuerdas las personas que has tratado?<\/p>\n

No los puedes olvidar. Despu\u00e9s de ser apu\u00f1alado en Gush Etzion, el Myr. Eliav Gelman muri\u00f3 por consecuencia de fuego errante. Fu\u00ed la \u00faltima persona que lo vio con vida, fu\u00ed la \u00faltima persona que lo toco, que habl\u00f3 con el. Lo vi morir frente a mi y me rompe el coraz\u00f3n, no era parte de su familia, no era su amiga.<\/p>\n

Es imposible desconectarse de las v\u00edctimas. Muchas veces me encuentro pensando en ellos mucho tiempo despu\u00e9s del ataque. Y no soy solo yo, estamos conectados a aquellos que tratamos. Mis m\u00e9dicos y yo visitamos a las personas que salvamos en los hospitales, en eventos menos afortunados, vamos a sus funerales.
