El primer ministro, Biniam\u00edn Netanyahu, rechaz\u00f3 la iniciativa francesa de una conferencia internacional para reactivar el moribundo proceso de paz israel\u00ed-palestino, indic\u00e1ndole a su hom\u00f3logo franc\u00e9s, Manuel Valls que las negociaciones directas son el \u00fanico camino hacia un acuerdo duradero.
\n<\/strong><\/em>
\nDurante una conferencia de prensa conjunta en Jerusal\u00e9n antes de reunirse a puertas cerradas con Valls, Netanyahu expres\u00f3 que el esfuerzo multilateral reemplazar\u00e1 las conversaciones bilaterales y no lograr\u00e1 ning\u00fan acuerdo.<\/p>\n

\u00abLa paz no se consigue en conferencias internacionales al estilo de la ONU, ni a trav\u00e9s de los dictados internacionales que provienen de pa\u00edses de alrededor del mundo que se sientan a decidir nuestro destino\u00bb, apunt\u00f3 Netanyahu. \u00abLa paz se logra a trav\u00e9s de negociaciones directas, donde la Autoridad Palestina tendr\u00e1 que enfrentar una elecci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica: reconocer un Estado jud\u00edo al lado de un Estado palestino desmilitarizado o tratar de eliminarlo\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Valls arrib\u00f3 en el marco de una visita dos d\u00edas a la regi\u00f3n, con el objeto de promover el plan de su pa\u00eds para una cumbre de cara a la oposici\u00f3n de Netanyahu.<\/p>\n

El primer ministro israel\u00ed afirm\u00f3 que la conferencia internacional est\u00e1 siendo utilizada por la dirigencia palestino como una estratagema para evitar las conversaciones directas con Israel.<\/p>\n

\u00abLa Autoridad Palestina no a ve la iniciativa francesa como un inductor para las negociaciones, sino como una manera para evitarlas\u00bb, subray\u00f3.<\/p>\n

En cambio, Netanyahu dijo que est\u00e1 dispuesto a reunirse con el presidente palestino, Mahmud Abb\u00e1s \u00aben Par\u00eds o donde sea,\u00bb y mantener negociaciones cara a cara sin mediaci\u00f3n internacional. \u00abCada tema dif\u00edcil ser\u00e1 puesto sobre la mesa\u00bb, asegur\u00f3.
\nValls dijo que dar\u00eda la bienvenida a las negociaciones directas y va a hablar con el presidente franc\u00e9s, Francois Hollande sobre la propuesta.<\/p>\n

Abb\u00e1s ha recibido con benepl\u00e1cito la iniciativa francesa de celebrar una reuni\u00f3n de ministros de Exteriores de una serie de pa\u00edses, el 3 de junio, sin la presencia los israel\u00edes y los palestinos.<\/p>\n

De acuerdo con el plan, otra conferencia se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en el oto\u00f1o, esta vez con la asistencia de Israel y los palestinos. El objetivo ser\u00e1 reiniciar negociaciones que eventualmente conduzcan a un Estado palestino.<\/p>\n

Previamente, Valls se reuni\u00f3 con el presidente, Reuven Rivlin, quien, en sus primeras declaraciones p\u00fablicas sobre la iniciativa francesa, tambi\u00e9n critic\u00f3 el plan, diciendo que \u00abno hay atajos en el Oriente Medio\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Rivlin enfatiz\u00f3 que Israel est\u00e1 cansado de estos esfuerzos internacionales, porque absuelven a los palestinos de su responsabilidad de negociar y hallar un compromiso.<\/p>\n

Valls le dijo Rivlin y Netanyahu que Francia tiene las mejores intenciones para con Israel.<\/p>\n

\u00abFrancia tiene el deseo genuino y real de ayudar a la situaci\u00f3n entre Israel y los palestinos\u00bb, les se\u00f1al\u00f3 tanto a Rivlin como a Netanyahu.<\/p>\n
