Con la renuncia del ministro de Defensa saliente, Moshe Yaalon, de la pol\u00edtica israel\u00ed, el rabino Yehuda Glick, un activista de la lucha por la igualdad de derechos para jud\u00edos y \u00e1rabes en el Monte del Templo en Jerusalem, se ha convertido en un nuevo miembro de la Kn\u00e9set, parlamento de Israel.<\/p>\n

\u00abLe pido a Dios que me d\u00e9 un buen consejo y me acompa\u00f1e como emisario para la naci\u00f3n de Israel, para santificar el nombre del cielo y aumentar la paz y la luz en el mundo y trabajar para unificar la naci\u00f3n de Israel\u00bb, dijo Glick a Arutz Sheva cuando conoci\u00f3 la noticia.<\/p>\n

Aunque ha sido etiquetado por muchos en la izquierda como un extremista, en realidad Glick, el director ejecutivo del Movimiento Haliba para la Libertad en el Monte del Templo y apoya la igualdad de derechos para los jud\u00edos y \u00e1rabes, la lucha contra la profunda discriminaci\u00f3n que enfrentan los visitantes jud\u00edos al sitio m\u00e1s sagrado del juda\u00edsmo . En octubre de 2014, un terrorista palestino dispar\u00f3 a Glick en el pecho varias veces despu\u00e9s de haber dado una conferencia en Jerusalem sobre la necesidad de aumentar la presencia jud\u00eda en el Monte. Glick, en estado cr\u00edtico en el tiempo, se someti\u00f3 a cirug\u00eda y meses de rehabilitaci\u00f3n intensiva. Hoy se encuentra en perfectas condiciones, aunque tiene secuelas del atentado.
