Las amenazas y la agitaci\u00f3n regional han hecho que\u00a0Israel y Egipto trabajen m\u00e1s estrechamente juntos.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

El primer ministro Benjamin Netanyahu declar\u00f3 el domingo que los lazos y la cooperaci\u00f3n con su vecino del sur, Egipto, son hoy m\u00e1s fuerte que nunca, y esto en medio de los desaf\u00edos compartidos a los que se enfrentan ambos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu habl\u00f3 en una ceremonia en memoria de los presidentes de Israel y primeros ministros, que est\u00e1 marcada anualmente al comienzo del mes jud\u00edo de Nissan. Seg\u00fan la tradici\u00f3n jud\u00eda, el primero de Nissan marca el comienzo del a\u00f1o de un rey en el trono.<\/p>\n

\u00abLos lazos entre Egipto e Israel son una parte importante de la seguridad nacional de ambos pa\u00edses\u00bb, declar\u00f3 Netanyahu.<\/p>\n

Israel y Egipto firmaron un hist\u00f3rico acuerdo de paz en 1979<\/a>, pero las relaciones han sido\u00a0muchas veces\u00a0fr\u00eda.<\/p>\n

En febrero, los lazos de Israel con Egipto se profundizaron cuando el nuevo embajador de Egipto a Israel, Hazem Ahdy Khairat, present\u00f3 sus cartas credenciales al presidente, Reuven Rivlin<\/a> .<\/p>\n

El nombramiento de Khairat marca el final de un per\u00edodo de tres a\u00f1os<\/a>, desde noviembre de 2012, durante el cual no hab\u00eda embajador egipcio en Israel.<\/p>\n

En septiembre de 2015, Israel reabri\u00f3 su embajada en El Cairo, cuatro a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de que fuera saqueada por una turba violenta y forzada a ser cerrada.<\/p>\n
