El sobreviviente del Holocausto, Israel Kristal, fue coronado el hombre m\u00e1s viejo del mundo por el Libro Guinness de los R\u00e9cords.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A 112 a\u00f1os de Israel, el superviviente que vivi\u00f3 dos guerras mundiales y sobrevivi\u00f3 al campo de concentraci\u00f3n nazi de Auschwitz<\/a>, es el hombre m\u00e1s viejo del mundo, seg\u00fan anunci\u00f3 el Guinness World Records.<\/p>\n

Guinness dijo en un comunicado que Israel Kristal es de 112 a\u00f1os y 178 d\u00edas de edad.<\/p>\n

Marco Frigatti, Jefe de Registros de Guinness otorg\u00f3 a Kristal un certificado en su casa en Haifa el viernes.<\/p>\n

\u00abNo s\u00e9 el secreto para una larga vida\u00bb, djio\u00a0Kristal. \u00abCreo que todo est\u00e1 determinado desde arriba y nunca se sabe por qu\u00e9\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abHa habido hombres m\u00e1s inteligentes, m\u00e1s fuertes y mejor que\u00a0yo que ya no est\u00e1n vivos. Todo lo que queda para nosotros por hacer es seguir trabajando tan duro como podamos y reconstruir lo que se pierde\u00bb, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Kristal naci\u00f3 en 1903 en una familia jud\u00eda ortodoxa, cerca de la ciudad de Zarnow en Polonia. Se traslad\u00f3 a Lodz a trabajar en el negocio de confiter\u00eda de la familia en 1920. Durante la ocupaci\u00f3n nazi de Polonia<\/a> fue confinado al ghetto de all\u00ed y m\u00e1s tarde enviado a Auschwitz y a otros campos de concentraci\u00f3n. Su primera esposa y sus dos hijos murieron en el Holocausto.<\/p>\n

Kristal sobrevivi\u00f3 a la Segunda Guerra Mundial bajo un peso de s\u00f3lo 37 kilogramos – el \u00fanico superviviente de su gran familia. Se traslad\u00f3 a Israel en 1950 con su segunda esposa y su hijo.<\/p>\n
