Los iran\u00edes han comenzado las celebraciones en todo el pa\u00eds para conmemorar el 37 \u00ba<\/sup> aniversario de la revoluci\u00f3n isl\u00e1mica de 1979.<\/p>\n

La televisi\u00f3n estatal el jueves emiti\u00f3 im\u00e1genes de las manifestaciones en Teher\u00e1n y otras ciudades y pueblos en todo el pa\u00eds, muchos de ellos en condiciones clim\u00e1ticas fr\u00edas de invierno.<\/p>\n

Los manifestantes corearon consignas tradicionales contra los EE.UU. e Israel, y las calles de muchas ciudades estaban decoradas con banderas y carteles anti-israel\u00edes y anti-Estados Unidos. Nada nuevo.<\/p>\n

La agencia de noticias semioficial iran\u00ed Fars escribi\u00f3 que \u00ablas manifestaciones de este a\u00f1o son a\u00fan m\u00e1s importantes que nunca, ya que muestran un amplio apoyo p\u00fablico para [las] pol\u00edticas anti-estadounidenses del pa\u00eds [que] no han cambiado despu\u00e9s del acuerdo nuclear con las potencias mundiales\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Las manifestaciones conmemoran el 11 de febrero de 1979, cuando los seguidores del ayatol\u00e1 Jomeini expulsaron al Shah Reza Pahlevi. La CIA ayud\u00f3 a orquestar el golpe de 1953 que derroc\u00f3 al primer ministro de Ir\u00e1n, Mohammad Mossadegh, y trajo al poder a Pahlavi.<\/p>\n
