Estados Unidos, la ONU y la Uni\u00f3n Europea anunciaron el levantamiento de las sanciones contra Ir\u00e1n, tras el anuncio de la OIEA, el organismo de control nuclear de la ONU, de que Teher\u00e1n ha puesto en marcha todos los frenos a sus actividades at\u00f3micas tal como lo exige su acuerdo con las potencias mundiales.<\/p>\n

En Viena, la jefa de pol\u00edtica exterior de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, Federica Mogherini, expres\u00f3 en un comunicado conjunto -tambi\u00e9n le\u00eddo en persa- por el ministro de Exteriores iran\u00ed, Muhammad Jawad Zarif que \u00ablas sanciones econ\u00f3micas y financieras multinacionales relacionadas con el programa nuclear de Ir\u00e1n se han levantado\u00bb.<\/p>\n

El secretario de Estado norteamericano, John Kerry, manifest\u00f3 que Ir\u00e1n ha cumplido con sus obligaciones con el OIEA y orden\u00f3 el levantamiento de las sanciones econ\u00f3micas de Estados Unidos contra Ir\u00e1n, relacionadas con su programa nuclear.<\/p>\n

Despu\u00e9s de que hablaron Mogherini y el ministro de Exteriores iran\u00ed, Mohammed Zarif, Kerry expres\u00f3: \u00abHoy se marca el momento en que el acuerdo nuclear trasciende de la promesa ambiciosa a la acci\u00f3n directa\u201d.<\/p>\n

Kerry a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que el acuerdo demuestra \u00abuna vez m\u00e1s el poder de la diplomacia para enfrentar los grandes desaf\u00edos\u00bb.<\/p>\n

El presidente de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, firm\u00f3 las\u00a0\u00f3rdenes ejecutivas para el levantamiento de las sanciones, lo que permitir\u00e1 a Ir\u00e1n a recuperar inmediatamente unos cien mil millones de d\u00f3lares en activos congelados en el extranjero. Ir\u00e1n percibir\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n enormes beneficios con las nuevas oportunidades que se le abren en la industria del petr\u00f3leo, el comercio y las finanzas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Todo el movimiento fue desatado por una declaraci\u00f3n del secretario general del OIEA, Yukiya Amano, en la cual anunci\u00f3 que \u00abIr\u00e1n ha completado las medidas necesarias de refacciones para iniciar la implementaci\u00f3n\u00bb del acuerdo.<\/p>\n

Al recibir el informe de la OIEA, el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU activ\u00f3 autom\u00e1ticamente el levantamiento de la mayor\u00eda de las sanciones de la ONU contra Ir\u00e1n, anunci\u00f3 el jefe de \u00e9ste \u00faltimo organismo.<\/p>\n

La Uni\u00f3n Europea tambi\u00e9n comenz\u00f3 el proceso de levantamiento de las sanciones contra Ir\u00e1n, luego que servicio de pol\u00edtica exterior del bloque tom\u00f3 nota del informe de la OIEA, que indica que Teher\u00e1n redujo su programa nuclear seg\u00fan lo acordado, apuntaron los diplom\u00e1ticos de la UE.<\/p>\n

Poco antes, Ir\u00e1n liber\u00f3 a cuatro estadounidenses, incluyendo a un periodista del diario The Washington Post, en un intercambio de prisioneros, en el cual tambi\u00e9n intervino el presidente estadounidense, Barack Obama, quien perdon\u00f3 a tres iran\u00edes acusados de violar las sanciones.<\/p>\n
