Israeli security forces continue to ramp up counterterror activities across northern Samaria under Operation Five Stones, a coordinated effort aimed at dismantling terror cells, weapons networks, and terror infrastructure threatening Israeli civilians.
Earlier Monday, forces from the elite Duvdevan unit, directed by the Shin Bet and operating under the Ephraim Brigade, carried out an operation in the village of Artaḥ and arrested Ahmed Nasrallah, a major weapons dealer tied to the Tulkarem-area terror network.
Nasrallah, identified as a central supplier of arms to local terrorists, was transferred to the Shin Bet for further interrogation. The IDF said security forces “continue to act to thwart terrorism in every sector, against anyone who harms or attempts to harm the citizens of Israel and the security forces.”
In a separate overnight operation early Sunday morning, Yamam counterterrorism fighters, guided by the Shin Bet and supported by the Menashe Brigade, arrested a five-man terrorist cell in the village of Barta’a. Intelligence indicated the cell was preparing an attack in the immediate timeframe, and all five terrorists were apprehended without Israeli casualties.
These arrests form part of the broader progress made since the launch of Operation Five Stones last week. In its first days, IDF units from the Menashe and Samaria brigades, alongside special forces, the Shin Bet, and Border Police, conducted more than 220 searches, questioned dozens of suspects, detained several wanted individuals, uncovered weapons, demolished terrorist hideouts, and seized tens of thousands of shekels designated for terrorist activity.
As Operation Five Stones continues, Israeli forces remain fully committed to dismantling terror networks throughout the region, acting with precision, coordination, and determination. Each arrest and every seized weapon removes another threat from Israel’s citizens, underscoring the steadfast resolve of the security forces to protect the country from those who seek to harm it.
