Na semana passada, um pedido de ajuda emitido pelo Chipre foi atendido por Israel que enviou avi\u00f5es e equipes de bombeiros para combater os inc\u00eandios florestais no pa\u00eds vizinho.<\/h2>\n

As equipes de bombeiros israelenses enviadas ao Chipre para ajudar no combate aos inc\u00eandios florestais que devastaram o pa\u00eds regressaram a Israel durante o final de semana. Isto, ao fim da opera\u00e7\u00e3o \u201cAsas de Fogo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Coordenada pelo Minist\u00e9rio da Seguran\u00e7a Nacional de Israel a opera\u00e7\u00e3o \u201cAsas de Fogo\u201d foi a resposta de Jerusal\u00e9m a um pedido de socorro emitido na semana passada por Nic\u00f3sia. Em mensagem enviada para o primeiro-ministro Benjamin Netanyahu o Presidente do Chipre, Nikos Christodoulides, requisitou \u201cassist\u00eancia imediata\u201d para combater os grandes inc\u00eandios que durante o ver\u00e3o no hemisf\u00e9rio norte, ocorreram na ilha mediterr\u00e2nea.<\/p>\n

A regi\u00e3o cipriota de Limassol foi a mais atingida pelas chamas.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m das equipes de bombeiros que trabalharam lado a lado com as autoridades locais, Israel enviou ao Chipre dois avi\u00f5es de combate a inc\u00eandios. Quatro pilotos garantiram que o equipamento trabalhasse durante quase todo o dia e \u00e0 noite, regressando \u00e0 base apenas para reabastecimento e inspe\u00e7\u00f5es de rotina.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, a ajuda israelense ao Chipre incluiu 6 toneladas de material retardante de chamas.<\/p>\n

Pa\u00edses vizinhos, Israel, Chipre e a Gr\u00e9cia tem um acordo de ajuda m\u00fatua em casos de inc\u00eandios e trag\u00e9dias.<\/p>\n

Uma cerim\u00f4nia marcou o fim da opera\u00e7\u00e3o \u201cAsas de Fogo\u201d e o regresso da delega\u00e7\u00e3o israelense. Esta, aconteceu na presen\u00e7a do Ministro da Defesa do Chipre, Michalis Georgallas, da Ministra da Justi\u00e7a e Seguran\u00e7a P\u00fablica, Anna Koukkides-Prokopiou, e do Ministro da Agricultura, Petros Ksenofontos. Tamb\u00e9m atenderam a solenidade os comandantes da For\u00e7a Nacional do Chipre, do Corpo de Bombeiros, da Defesa Civil e da For\u00e7a A\u00e9rea cipriota.<\/p>\n

Durante seu discurso a ministra Anna Koukkides-Prokopiou expressou a \u201cprofunda gratid\u00e3o da Rep\u00fablica do Chipre para com o Estado de Israel\u201d.<\/p>\n
