O Presidente do Estado de Israel, Isaac Herzog, recebeu em sua resid\u00eancia oficial em Jerusal\u00e9m os sacerdotes l\u00edderes das igrejas crist\u00e3s na Terra Santa para celebrar o fim do ano de 2022 e o in\u00edcio de 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cO Estado de Israel sempre preservar\u00e1 a liberdade de religi\u00e3o e culto, proteger\u00e1 os direitos de todas as comunidades religiosas e minorias que comp\u00f5e o bel\u00edssimo mosaico humano de nosso pa\u00eds. Este compromisso vai al\u00e9m da pol\u00edtica, pertence ao \u00e2mago de quem somos, um Estado Judeu e democr\u00e1tico\u201d, disse Herzog, que defendeu a toler\u00e2ncia zero para crimes motivados pelo \u00f3dio e intoler\u00e2ncia religiosa.<\/p>\n

\u201cDevemos nos unir contra o extremismo e o \u00f3dio. Juntos temos de combater os desafios comuns \u00e0 a todos n\u00f3s e que amea\u00e7am a humanidade, como as mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, pandemias e guerras\u201d, disse o presidente israelense.<\/p>\n

Lembrando os Acordos de Abra\u00e3o, Isaac Herzog defendeu ainda a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de \u201cum futuro melhor e mais pac\u00edfico\u201d para as futuras gera\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

O novo Ministro do Interior de Israel, Arieh Deri, l\u00edder do partido ultraortodoxo Shas, tamb\u00e9m participou da cerim\u00f4nia que celebrou de ano novo junto aos l\u00edderes eclesi\u00e1sticos da Terra Santa. Ele desejou um feliz ano novo a todos os presentes e disse estar comprometido com a uni\u00e3o entre as religi\u00f5es e a liberdade de culto em Jerusal\u00e9m e em todo Israel.<\/p>\n

Participaram ainda da cerim\u00f4nia de ano novo o Patriarca Ortodoxo Grego, Theophilos III, o Patriarca Latino de Jerusal\u00e9m, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, o Frade Franciscano Cust\u00f3dio da Terra Santa, Francesco Patton, o Patriarca Arm\u00eanio de Jerusal\u00e9m, Arcebispo Sevan Gharabian, e outros l\u00edderes crist\u00e3os.<\/p>\n
