A Diretora do Escrit\u00f3rio das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para a Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o dos Direitos Humanos nos Territ\u00f3rios Palestinos, Sarah Muscroft, foi afastada de seu cargo ap\u00f3s fazer cr\u00edticas \u00e0 Jihad Isl\u00e2mica Palestina e condenar o grupo terrorista pelo lan\u00e7amento indiscriminado de foguetes contra Israel.<\/p>\n

N\u00e3o bastasse perder seu emprego, Muscroft teve seu direito b\u00e1sico \u00e0 liberdade de express\u00e3o ceifado pelas Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas e foi obrigada a apagar um tuite em que defendia o cessar-fogo alcan\u00e7ado entre a Jihad Isl\u00e2mica Palestina e Israel.<\/p>\n

O lan\u00e7amento indiscriminado de foguetes pela Jihad Isl\u00e2mica, que provoca uma retalia\u00e7\u00e3o de Israel, \u00e9 conden\u00e1vel. A seguran\u00e7a de todos os civis \u00e9 primordial e o cessar-fogo deve ser preservado\u201d, dizia o tuite publicado por Sarah Muscroft em 8 de agosto e aparentemente considerado um crime pela ONU.<\/p>\n

A decis\u00e3o da Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas de afastar do cargo sua pr\u00f3pria diretora foi tomada depois que a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o recebeu muitas cr\u00edticas de grupos palestinos que exigiam a cabe\u00e7a de Muscroft. Entre eles, o movimento antissemita BDS e a pr\u00f3pria Jihad Isl\u00e2mica. Obrigada a afastar-se e a apagar seu tuite, ela foi for\u00e7ada ainda a pedir desculpas por condenar o terrorismo e o lan\u00e7amento de foguetes contra civis israelenses.<\/p>\n

Isto, quando sob ordens de Tom Wennesland uma equipe da ONU visitou em uma pris\u00e3o israelense um dos l\u00edderes da Jihad Isl\u00e2mica Palestina, Bassam al-Saadi, para pedir \u201ccalma\u201d ao grupo terrorista.<\/p>\n
