O Ministro da Defesa de Israel, Benny Gantz, foi recebido na \u00faltima quinta-feira (3) pelo Rei do Bahrein, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, no pal\u00e1cio Al-Sakhir de Manama. O ministro israelense tamb\u00e9m foi recebido pelo pr\u00edncipe herdeiro bahreinita, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.<\/p>\n

De acordo com a ag\u00eancia estatal de not\u00edcias bahreinita, Bahrain News Agency, durante seu encontro com Gantz o rei Hamad expressou interesse e manifestou seu apoio ao estreitamento das rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre Manama e Jerusal\u00e9m.<\/p>\n

\u201cSua Majestade o Rei, enfatizou a import\u00e2ncia de empregar a \u201cDeclara\u00e7\u00e3o de Apoio \u00e0 Paz\u201d assinada entre os dois pa\u00edses, como apoio a esfor\u00e7os em prol da paz, estabilidade, seguran\u00e7a, prosperidade do M\u00e9dio Oriente e em benef\u00edcio dos interesses dos pa\u00edses e povos da regi\u00e3o\u201d, diz a publica\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Ainda segundo a Bahrain News Agency o ministro da defesa Benny Gantz e o rei Salman trataram de assuntos regionais e internacionais de comum interesse, inerentes a Manama e Jerusal\u00e9m.<\/p>\n

Horas antes de reunir-se com o rei bahreinita o ministro da defesa Benny Gantz assinou um hist\u00f3rico acordo de defesa entre Israel e o Bahrein<\/a>, o primeiro entre Jerusal\u00e9m e um pa\u00eds do Golfo Ar\u00e1bico e o segundo com um pa\u00eds \u00e1rabe.<\/p>\n

\u201cA coopera\u00e7\u00e3o estrat\u00e9gica que hoje elevamos a um novo patamar com a assinatura deste acordo, al\u00e9m do encontro com o rei, \u00e9 a continua\u00e7\u00e3o dos hist\u00f3ricos Acordos de Abra\u00e3o e do estreitamento das rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre nossas na\u00e7\u00f5es e povos\u201d, disse o Ministro da Defesa de Israel.<\/p>\n
