O Ministro da Defesa de Israel, Benny Gantz, recebeu na noite desta quarta-feira em sua casa na cidade de Rosh Ha\u2019Ayin o Presidente da Autoridade Palestina e l\u00edder do grupo Fatah, Mahmoud Abbas. Este \u00e9 o segundo encontro<\/a> entre os dois l\u00edderes este ano e como o anterior, s\u00f3 se tornou p\u00fablico posteriormente.<\/p>\n

A visita do Presidente da Autoridade Palestina a Israel \u00e9 considerada como extraordin\u00e1ria. A \u00faltima vez que isto aconteceu foi em 2016, quando Mahmoud Abbas participou em Jerusal\u00e9m e ao lado de outros l\u00edderes internacionais do enterro do ex-premi\u00ea israelense Shimon Peres.<\/p>\n

No encontro desta ter\u00e7a-feira Mahnoud Abbas foi acompanhado pelo ministro palestino Husseim al-Sheikh e por Majed Faraj, Diretor do Servi\u00e7o de Intelig\u00eancia da Autoridade Palestina. Do lado israelense, al\u00e9m de Gantz, estava o general Hassam Alian, Comandante da Unidade de Coordena\u00e7\u00e3o das Atividades Governamentais nos Territ\u00f3rios da Jud\u00e9ia e Samaria.<\/p>\n

Durante a reuni\u00e3o, que durou cerca de 2:30h, Gantz e Abbas discutiram as rela\u00e7\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a entre Israel e Autoridade Palestina. Al\u00e9m disso, Gantz apresentou a Abbas novos medidas que Israel est\u00e1 disposto a adotar para fortalecer a Autoridade Palestina, sua economia e controle.<\/p>\n

\u201cEsta noite me re\u00fane com o Presidente da Autoridade Palestina, Mahmoud Abbas. Discutimos a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de medidas econ\u00f4micas e civis, al\u00e9m da import\u00e2ncia do estreitamento da coordena\u00e7\u00e3o de seguran\u00e7a, preven\u00e7\u00e3o do terrorismo e viol\u00eancia, pelo bem de israelense e palestinos\u201d, tuitou Gantz.<\/p>\n

No atual cen\u00e1rio internacional o fortalecimento da Autoridade Palestina \u00e9 visto com bons olhos em detrimento ao espa\u00e7o e apoio que o Hamas e outros grupos terrorista v\u00eam conquistando.<\/p>\n

Inimigo do grupo Fatah de Mahmoud Abbas o Hamas vem conquistando mais espa\u00e7o e apoiadores a cada dia, mesmo em ambientes antes controlados pela Autoridade Palestina. Hoje, as famosas bandeiras verdes do Hamas podem ser vistas \u00e0 luz do dia em Ramallah por exemplo, algo impens\u00e1vel h\u00e1 alguns anos.<\/p>\n

A perda de apoio popular da Autoridade Palestina pode ser explicado por alguns fatores, entre eles a crise econ\u00f4mica, a corrup\u00e7\u00e3o e a hipocrisia de seus l\u00edderes.<\/p>\n
