Nesta segunda-feira o Presidente do Egito, Abdel Fatah Khalil Al-Sisi, recebeu o Primeiro-ministro de Israel, Naftali Bennett, na cidade de Sharm El-Sheikh, na costa do Mar Vermelho.<\/p>\n

O Egito foi o primeiro pa\u00eds \u00e1rabe a reconhecer o Estado de Israel e firmar um acordo de paz com Jerusal\u00e9m. Isto, ainda em 1979 quando o ent\u00e3o premier israelense Menachem Begin e o presidente eg\u00edpcio Anwar Al Sadat assinaram em Camp David nos Estados Unidos, o tratado de paz entre suas duas na\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

Sadat ali\u00e1s, em 19 de novembro de 1977, tornou-se o primeiro l\u00edder de um pa\u00eds \u00e1rabe a fazer uma visita oficial a Israel. Convidado por Menachem Begin, o presidente eg\u00edpcio fez um discurso hist\u00f3rico no Knesset, o parlamento israelense em Jerusal\u00e9m.<\/p>\n

Em 6 de outubro de 1981, Sadat foi assassinado por terroristas da Jihad Isl\u00e2mica que se op\u00f4s ao acordo de paz com Israel.<\/p>\n

De acordo com uma nota divulgada pelo Minist\u00e9rio das Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores de Israel, Bennett e Al-Sisi discutiram temas referentes as rela\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas, comerciais e de seguran\u00e7a entre Israel e o Egito. Al\u00e9m \u00e9 claro, de conversarem sobre o conflito entre Israel e grupos terroristas palestinos, sobre a amea\u00e7a iraniana e quest\u00f5es regionais inerentes ao Oriente M\u00e9dio.<\/p>\n

Esta \u00e9 a primeira vez em uma d\u00e9cada que os l\u00edderes de Israel e do Egito se re\u00fanem publicamente. Da \u00faltima vez que isto aconteceu, em 2011, o ent\u00e3o primeiro-ministro Benjamin Netanyahu foi recebido pelo ex-presidente eg\u00edpcio Hosni Mubarak, tamb\u00e9m na costa do Mar Vermelho.<\/p>\n
