No in\u00edcio da noite desta segunda-feira (1) em Jerusal\u00e9m, Israel e o Kosovo oficializaram o estabelecimento de suas rela\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas. Atrav\u00e9s de uma cerim\u00f4nia virtual, o Ministro das Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores de Israel, Gabi Ashkenazi, e a chanceler do Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, assinaram tr\u00eas acordos bilaterais.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m dos chanceleres dos dois pa\u00edses, participaram da cerim\u00f4nia virtual o Primeiro-ministro do Kosovo, Avdullah Huti, agentes do Departamento de Estado dos Estados Unidos e representantes da comunidade judaica kosovar.<\/p>\n

Com o estabelecimento das rela\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas entre Jerusal\u00e9m e Pristina, Israel tornou-se o 117\u00b0 pa\u00eds a reconhecer a independ\u00eancia e a soberania da Rep\u00fablica do Kosovo. Por anos renegada para n\u00e3o prejudicar as rela\u00e7\u00f5es entre Israel, S\u00e9rvia e a R\u00fassia, esta decis\u00e3o foi arquitetada pelo ex-Presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, e anunciada<\/a> em setembro do ano passado.<\/p>\n

“O Kosovo esperou muito tempo para estabelecer rela\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas com Israel. Hoje, iniciamos um novo cap\u00edtulo nos la\u00e7os hist\u00f3ricos entre nossos pa\u00edses, que atravessaram um longo e muito dif\u00edcil caminho antes de transformarem-se em Estados”, disse a chanceler kosovar das Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla. Ela lembrou ainda que durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, muitos judeus foram salvos do regime nazista pela popula\u00e7\u00e3o do pa\u00eds dos Balc\u00e3s.<\/p>\n

Antes do in\u00edcio da cerim\u00f4nia, a Ministra das Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores do Kosovo enviou ao chanceler Gaby Ashkenazi, um requerimento para abrir a embaixada de seu pa\u00eds em Jerusal\u00e9m. Com isto, o Kosovo tornou-se o primeiro pa\u00eds de maioria mu\u00e7ulmana a reconhecer Jerusal\u00e9m como a capital do Estado de Israel.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecebi sua solicita\u00e7\u00e3o para abrir a Embaixada do Kosovo em Jerusal\u00e9m e a aceitei\u201d, disse o Ministro das Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores de Israel.<\/p>\n

Ashkenazi lembrou ainda, que Israel acolheu centenas de refugiados do Kosovo, que fugiram dos Balc\u00e3s durante o conflito com a antiga Iugosl\u00e1via e a S\u00e9rvia. \u201cN\u00f3s sabemos o pre\u00e7o da guerra\u201d disse ele.<\/p>\n

Ao final da cerim\u00f4nia, o chanceler israelense presenteou o Kosovo com uma placa que ser\u00e1 afixada na embaixada do pa\u00eds em Jerusal\u00e9m. Al\u00e9m disso, um brinde foi feito com um vinho israelense enviado para Pristina.<\/p>\n
