O \u201ctime de na\u00e7\u00f5es que optaram pela paz e um futuro melhor para seus filhos\u201d<\/a>, do qual falou esta semana o Ministro das Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Exteriores de Israel, Gabi Ashkenazi, ganhou um novo integrante nesta quinta-feira (10). Aproximadamente um m\u00eas antes de deixar a Casa Branca, Donald Trump, anunciou pelo Twitter que Israel e o Marrocos chegaram a um acordo de paz e decidiram normalizar suas rela\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas e comerciais.<\/p>\n

\u201cOutro avan\u00e7o hist\u00f3rico! Nossos dois amigos, Israel e o Reino do Marrocos, concordaram em normalizar suas rela\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas. Este \u00e9 um imenso avan\u00e7o para o Oriente M\u00e9dio\u201d, tuitou o presidente americano.<\/p>\n

Com esta decis\u00e3o, o Marrocos tornou-se o quarto pa\u00eds mu\u00e7ulmano a chegar a um acordo de paz com Israel em aproximadamente 4 meses. Isto, depois dos Emirados \u00c1rabes Unidos<\/a>, Bahrein<\/a> e Sud\u00e3o<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Em 1995, Israel e o Marrocos j\u00e1 haviam decido normalizar suas rela\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas, mas no ano 2000, em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da Segunda Intifada, o pa\u00eds africano rompeu seus la\u00e7os com Jerusal\u00e9m.<\/p>\n

No Muro das Lamenta\u00e7\u00f5es em Jerusal\u00e9m, durante a cerim\u00f4nia de acendimento da primeira vela de Chanuc\u00e1, o Primeiro-ministro Benjamin Netanyahu agradeceu ao presidente americano e ao Rei do Marrocos, Mohammed VI, por mais este acordo de paz firmado no Oriente M\u00e9dio.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu disse que escrit\u00f3rios diplom\u00e1ticos ser\u00e3o abertos pelos dois pa\u00edses, em Israel e no Marrocos, para acelerar o processo de assinatura de um tratado de paz formal. O acordo prev\u00ea ainda a institui\u00e7\u00e3o de voos diretos entre Tel Aviv e Rabat.<\/p>\n

A comunidade judaica do Marrocos conta hoje com aproximadamente 3.000 membros. De l\u00e1, milhares de judeus escaparam ap\u00f3s a cria\u00e7\u00e3o do Estado de Israel com medo de serem perseguidos pela popula\u00e7\u00e3o, de maioria mu\u00e7ulmana. Apenas Israel, abrigou 250.000 destes refugiados, outros fugiram para os Estados Unidos, Fran\u00e7a e pa\u00edses da Am\u00e9rica do Sul, como o Brasil.<\/p>\n
