Na ter\u00e7a-feira, 2, ocorreram as elei\u00e7\u00f5es prim\u00e1rias do partido trabalhista de Israel. O veterano Amir Peretz foi eleito l\u00edder do partido ao vencer os jovens pol\u00edticos Stav Shaffir e Itzik Shmuli.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

O partido Avod\u00e1 (trabalhista) obteve apenas 6 cadeiras na \u00faltima forma\u00e7\u00e3o do Knesset, o parlamento israelense, depois das elei\u00e7\u00f5es de abril.<\/a> Este resultado, o pior da hist\u00f3ria, foi considerado um fiasco para aquele que um dia, j\u00e1 foi um dos maiores e mais influentes partidos do cen\u00e1rio pol\u00edtico israelense.<\/p>\n

Com o resultado nas urnas, o antigo l\u00edder do Avod\u00e1, Avi Gabay, foi pressionado a abandonar a lideran\u00e7a do partido, o que o fez em 12 de junho. Novas elei\u00e7\u00f5es internas foram ent\u00e3o organizadas para que os filiados ao partido Avod\u00e1, pudessem escolher um novo l\u00edder, visando as elei\u00e7\u00f5es para o Knesset que ocorrer\u00e3o em 17 de setembro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tr\u00eas parlamentares do Avod\u00e1 concorreram a lideran\u00e7a do partido que um dia, j\u00e1 fora encabe\u00e7ado por David Bem Gurion e Shimon Peres. S\u00e3o eles, o veterano e ex-Ministro da Defesa Amir Peretz, a jovem revolucion\u00e1ria Stav Shaffir e Itzik Shmueli, antigo l\u00edder da Uni\u00e3o Nacional dos Estudantes de Israel. Shaffir e Shmueli, entraram para a pol\u00edtica depois de se destacarem como l\u00edderes das manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es de 2011. \u00c0 \u00e9poca, milhares de pessoas sa\u00edram \u00e0s ruas para protestar contra o valor do custo de vida em Israel.<\/p>\n

Apesar das expectativas de mudan\u00e7a, os eleitores do Avod\u00e1 elegeram Amir Peretz para liderar o partido. Na esquerda, venceu o conservadorismo.<\/p>\n

Peretz venceu no primeiro turno e obteve impressionantes 47% dos votos v\u00e1lidos. Em segundo lugar ficou Stav Shaffir com 26,9%, e em terceiro, Itzik Shmuli com 26,3%.<\/p>\n

Depois de anunciado o resultado das elei\u00e7\u00f5es, Amir Peretz disse que o mais importante a se fazer no momento, \u00e9 unir a ala de centro e esquerda. Segundo as previs\u00f5es, Peretz busxar\u00e1 alian\u00e7as com o partido Meretz, de extrema-esquerda, e com o novo partido de Ehud Barak.<\/p>\n

Barak j\u00e1 foi l\u00edder do partido Avod\u00e1 e Primeiro-ministro de Israel. Ele se aposentou da vida pol\u00edtica depois de haver sido demitido por Benjamin Netanyahu, quando ocupava o cargo de Ministro da Defesa em sem governo. Ehud Barak acaba de anunciar seu retorno ao cen\u00e1rio pol\u00edtico de Israel. Desta vez, em um novo partido que tentar\u00e1 desbancar Netanyahu nas elei\u00e7\u00f5es de setembro.<\/p>\n

Ehud Barak parabenizou Amir Peretz pela vit\u00f3ria e disse que “\u00e9 nosso dever, nos unirmos e fazermos o que for necess\u00e1rio para colocar Israel novamente no caminho correto”.<\/p>\n

Amir Peretz nasceu em 9 de mar\u00e7o de 1952 no Marrocos. Sua fam\u00edlia emigrou para Israel quando ele tinha apenas 4 anos. O atual l\u00edder do Avod\u00e1, serviu como paraquedista no Ex\u00e9rcito de Defesa de Israel e \u00e9 capit\u00e3o da reserva do IDF.<\/p>\n

Na pol\u00edtica, Amir Peretz j\u00e1 ocupou os cargos de Vice-Primeiro-Ministro, Ministro da Defesa e Ministro do Meio Ambiente.<\/p>\n

Ele vive na cidade de Sderot, no sul de Israel, \u00e9 casado e tem 4 filhos e netos.<\/p>\n
