Sebasti\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era, presidente do Chile, esteve esta semana em Israel e se encontrou com o Primeiro-ministro Benjamin Netanyahu e com Reuven Rivlin, presidente de Israel.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

O primeiro-ministro de Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, se encontrou na tarde de quarta-feira, com o presidente chileno, Sebasti\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era, em Jerusal\u00e9m.<\/p>\n

Durante o encontro, os dois pa\u00edses assinaram oito acordos de coopera\u00e7\u00e3o em \u00e1reas como energia, agricultura, medicina, ci\u00eancia, gest\u00e3o de recursos h\u00eddricos, telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es e seguran\u00e7a cibern\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n

Em uma coletiva de imprensa, o l\u00edder israelense disse que “Israel e o Chile t\u00eam muito em comum. Compartilhamos valores de democracia e direitos humanos. Compartilhamos nossa cren\u00e7a em economias livres e fazemos de tudo para promover estes valores em nossos respectivos pa\u00edses “.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu acrescentou que o Chile e Israel t\u00eam caracter\u00edsticas comuns em suas respectivas regi\u00f5es: “Temos economias relativamente pequenas, n\u00e3o t\u00e3o pequenas, mas relativamente pequenas e muito din\u00e2micas. O Chile \u00e9 reconhecido e respeitado pelos pa\u00edses da Am\u00e9rica Latina, por sua capacidade, assim como os pa\u00edses do Oriente M\u00e9dio e do mundo reconhecem a capacidade de Israel de ser uma na\u00e7\u00e3o inovadora “.<\/p>\n

O Primeiro-ministro israelense disse ainda que, embora ambos os pa\u00edses tenham superado diversos obst\u00e1culos separadamente, ” juntos, podemos chegar muito mais longe”.<\/p>\n

Por sua vez, o presidente chileno disse que al\u00e9m de 70 anos de amizade e coopera\u00e7\u00e3o, Israel e Chile “compartilham valores e princ\u00edpios”.<\/p>\n

Sebasti\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era destacou que a coopera\u00e7\u00e3o entre os pa\u00edses pode ser muito ben\u00e9fica para ambos, destacando, por exemplo, que Israel possui excelentes tecnologias para desenvolver a agricultura no deserto, enquanto o Chile, tem um deserto bastante grande.<\/p>\n

O presidente chileno disse ainda que os oito acordos assinados entre os pa\u00edses “s\u00e3o muito importantes para o Chile e mudar\u00e3o a vida dos chilenos para melhor”.<\/p>\n

O presidente chileno chegou a Israel na noite de segunda-feira e durante sua estadia, visitou lugares muito importartes para os israelenses, como o Memorial do Holocausto Yad Vashem e a Cidade Velha de Jerusal\u00e9m.<\/p>\n

Sebati\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era tamb\u00e9m se reuniu com empres\u00e1rios, visitou empresas e foi recebido por Reuven Rivlin, presidente de Israel, em sua resid\u00eancia oficial.<\/p>\n

De Israel, Sebasti\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era dever\u00e1 seguir para o Jap\u00e3o onde participar\u00e1 do encontro do G-20.<\/p>\n
