Kansas law is clear. In April 2025, SB44 enshrined the IHRA definition of antisemitism into state law.

That includes hatred, denial, and delegitimization of Israel. Borders doesn’t just violate that definition—he personifies it. His social media lauds the October 7 Hamas massacre as “resistance.”

His book club praises all factions of Palestinian “resistance”—explicitly including Hamas. He proudly shares platforms with those who have “no sympathy for dead Jews.”

How can any Jewish student trust that their discrimination complaint will be fairly heard by someone who sees Israel’s destruction as liberation?

The silence from KSU is deafening. This is not a free speech issue—it’s a civil rights crisis.

Enough is enough. If Kansas wants to live up to its own laws, Derron Borders must be fired immediately.

State and federal funding cannot support someone who sides with terrorists while holding power over civil rights complaints.
