On June 14th, the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) is set to host a workshop titled “Secrets of a Successful Organizer” — but behind the seemingly harmless name lies a disturbing truth.
The training is led by Labor Notes, an organization known for aggressively promoting anti-Israel, anti-American narratives and fueling division under the guise of “solidarity.”
Labor Notes has repeatedly taken extreme political stances, such as calling for a complete end to U.S. military aid to Israel and publicly backing pro-Palestinian actions that distort the reality of the October 7th Hamas massacre.
These are not “educational” viewpoints — they are incitements rooted in hate, and they have no place in our classrooms or our unions.
The UFT — under President Michael Mulgrew — must answer for this betrayal of trust. Educators across New York City deserve better. Instead of political indoctrination, we must focus on professional development, academic excellence, and a safe space for all — including Jewish educators and students.
We call on President Mulgrew to immediately cancel this workshop and pledge that no future union events will involve organizations that promote antisemitic or radical agendas.
It is the duty of UFT leadership to foster unity and protect its members — not subject them to ideologically extreme programming.
Let’s make our voices heard: Demand the cancellation of this radical workshop NOW.
